Growing up, I had a subscription to SURFER Magazine. I absolutely loved the marriage between text and photo to enhance the overall storytelling of the magazine. To this day, there are few magazines I know of that has as much emphasis on making an article both informative and artistic. When conceptualizing MAVERICK Magazine, I wanted to do just that. I allowed the photographs to breathe and experimented with different fonts to impact the overall feel of each layout. MAVERICK is marketed to adventure seekers and people who want to get more from life.
